Hôtel d’Aubusson
Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris, France
Hôtel d’Aubusson is an independent five-star boutique hotel with 44 rooms and suites. Studio TDVA Architecture oversaw the complete refurbishment of the property, with Bruno Borrione responsible for the interiors and overall aesthetic direction. The renovation encompasses both guest accommodation and communal areas, bringing a fresh perspective to the hotel’s historic setting.
The hotel occupies a 17th-century townhouse at 33 Rue Dauphine, originally known as Hôtel de Mouy. Original timber beams, Versailles parquet flooring and a grand stone fireplace remain central to its character, complemented by bespoke furniture and a carefully curated selection of artworks.
A total of 646 pieces from Groël’s Ibiza collection were specified for the project, including 956 furniture fittings, 256 R8 lever handles, 256T T-handles and the 256 RVG configuration. The selection spans three Powercoat (PVD) finishes: graphite (PWGT), satin brass (PWLS) and inox (PWIX). Used throughout the rooms, suites and communal areas, the different formats bring the collection’s signature texture and design language to the hotel’s interiors.
