Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire

Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire

2024

Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire has been part of Abidjan’s urban landscape since 1963. The original building, designed by Moshe Mayer, was transformed through an extensive refurbishment led by Pierre Fakhoury and PFO Africa. Interiors by Luis Laplace combine timber, golden finishes, geometric compositions and motifs inspired by the textiles and culture of Côte d’Ivoire. The hotel features 426 rooms and suites, alongside extensive conference and event spaces.

For this project, the Soft 807 R8 lever handle was selected in a combination of satin and polished brass (LSLP). Its rounded profiles create a continuous geometry, while the contrast between satin and polished surfaces accentuates its lines and connects the piece with the golden tones found throughout the interiors.
