Torre Melina, a Gran Meliá Hotel

Barcelona, Spain

2024

Torre Melina, a Gran Meliá Hotel reinterprets the building designed by Carlos Ferrater in 1992 as an urban resort connected to the city of Barcelona. The refurbishment, led by Studio ASAH in collaboration with MUR Arquitectura, transforms the rooms, suites and communal areas through a contemporary design language while preserving the building’s architectural identity. The hotel features 391 rooms, including 61 suites, a striking vertical lobby and 25,000 m² of gardens.

For this project, the Tendenza 214 R8 lever handle and Amps 234M pull handle were selected, both in satin brass Powercoat (PVD). The collection’s characteristic combination of planes and curves complements the contemporary interiors, while the satin finish brings a warm, understated presence to the hotel’s doors.
